some of my favorite are worded problems that before you get into algebraic solutions, you need to analyze the problem first

there are SO many solutions to modern math problems that sometimes tricky questions are complicated in the process

to understand how to use algebra in almost every math problem is the ultimate reward of learning algebra, this also helps you in your everyday life

to solve by algebraic rules is one thing but to solve anything "with understanding" is another,
reading and comprehending are different things

the tip here is to truly understand math and try to enjoy it

my advice after tutoring people in algebra is:
DON"T SKIP ANY STEPS...write everything down.
jumping by simple steps is the place most people make
an error like dropping a sign.
learn the properties like commutative and distributive really well.
double check your work. patience.
