okay so I have astigmatisim. and i just found out yesturday after the last past 10 years. and i found out that i have high astigmatisim, and i wanted to get contacts then my docter said i have to get "gas permeable contacts" if you have them, please tell me as much as you can about them but if you don't have them please, give some sites where i can know more about them..? thanks so much :]

Hell, I have contacts for astigmatism that are soft lenses that are made by Bauch & Lomb. They are sort lenses that have some kind of weight in them to keep them in place and help with the astigmatisim. I've been using them for quite a number of years. I don't know what your doctor is talking about. Gas permeable lenses are indeed better, but for comfort I would check out the B&L ones, even if you have to use reading glasses at times.

i use contacts i dont have astigmatisim but from what i herad when you get 7.00 or 700 is when you have reached bottom, you can not have any more than that and thats what i have, if it increases you have to get an operation on your eyes
