I had my two neons in with my Betta for about two days. I only found half of one on the third day. So I'd say no. It could have been a fluke, but I never had luck keeping anything with my Betta.

Yes they can my friend had 5 tetras with a Betta but the Betta died of a disease. They were in there for like a week and the Betta ignored them most of the time and when they went near him they didn't do anything.

This really depends on your betta. Male bettas are aggressive towards their own species, but are perfectly capable of getting along with other fish. It is a question of personality. Your betta may be territorial, or it may be fine with other fish. It is important, if you are introducing tank mates, to get a tank of suitable size. My recommendation would be 5+ gallons. Fill it with a couple of plants and some hiding places. That way, if your betta or the new fish feel threatened, they have some place to go. Keep in mind that your betta's fins can easily tear, so soft plants and aquarium decorations with no sharp edges are important. Hope that helps. ^.^

I hope they can be kept together, because that's what I plan on putting into my tank when it's done cycling with my zebra danios. A school of neons and a beautiful blue betta.

as long as you don't plan on having any other fish in there. we had 3 neons and a betta in a 20 gallon aquarium and the neons killed all the other fish that went in there besides the betta.

To my knowledge, yes. Neon tetra's have small mouths and couldnt nip at the betta's fins. So yes, I think they would be okay together.

Yes, because a betta can be kept with any fish exept its own speices. Here's some info on both of them.

Yup they can, Betta can be successfully kept with community fish, but should be kept away from fish like Gourami, or Angel Fish because they'll nip at their long fins and whisker things.

no, they cant trust me.neon tetras are to small to be in the same fish tank as betta fish and 90% chance the betta will eat the tetra.but do this.if u have more then one neon tetra just add one with the betta to see how it reacts.if its ok then add some more tetras but first just add one too see i they get along which i dont think i will.good luck to u.
