and um it says Addison decides to teach izzie a very painful lesson does anyone know if it was a typo or either way could you tell me what the lesson was? sorry im kind of new at the greys anatomy thing... luv the show. watch it!!!! thursdays 9/8/ central best show in the world. next new episode airs thursday march 15. scars and souvanear. be there or be square.

never mind i found out. addison had izzie stay with a baby all night even though she knew the baby was gonna die because she and the cheif thought it would make izzie a better surgeon.

The proper way to phrase the lesson is to say that Addison was trying to teach Izzie to distance herself from her patients. That has been the major problem with Izzie. She gets too involved with her cases. That is why she fell in love with Denny and wound up killing him. That is also why she paid for that little girl's back surgery to straighten her spine. The fact is she needed to be shown that you can't save them all and apparently Richard did the same thing to Addison when she was an intern and she never forgave him or forgot about it. that is why she did it to Izzie. You will notice they do not work together.

I am totally addicted to Grey's Anatomy. My best friend IS Meredith Grey! She dated a hot dr last year and then found out he was married. Now she doinks everyone she meets and just last week got a job that makes her travel so she can stop! She even looks like Meredith! What the hell is GAY'S Anatomy

It was a rerun. In season 2, when the quints were born, Addison leaves Izzie to care for a quint that was doomed to die. They couldn't do anything about it, and didn't inform Izzie of her fatal condition.
