ok, so my sims have babies and toddlers. so one day when my sim was gonnna feed the baby, they couldnt. it wouldnt let them. the babies were frozen. they weren't moving. at first i thought they died. but i noticed they were blinking. i moved them into the crib with the 'moveobjects on' cheat, so was that it? was it that i turned 'aging on'? im kinda worried. this happened with the Brokes (a premade family, you should have seen them b4). their toddler beau was frozen and couldnt be taken cared of, and he got so hungry that social services took him away. i really dont want s.s. to take my sim babies away. idk if i should try the 'maxmotives' cheat. i havent tried it yet. if theres anyway you could help with this catastrophe, that would be g8! thx!

I have had a couple times where someone in the house would just freeze, they would blink but not move. Their needs sure did keep dropping though. I had one girl about to die of starvation in the hot tub. I finally just added all their stuff to a different sims inventory, exited the lot, moved them out of the house then moved them back in. The frozen sim was now perfectly fine. You might want to try that if something else won't work.

First off, whenever you use the move objects cheat, always turn it off.

There are various reasons they can freeze like that, mostly though, it's a glitch. I used to have the same problem with my sims freezing in front of the cribs. You can use move objects to delete the sims, then save and exit the lot, then go back in. They should be sitting by the mailbox with their needs maxed when you return. Just don't use that feature too often, only in emergencies or else it might mess up the game even more. If they get to the point their needs are really low, the maxmotives cheat will certainly help out. I use it all the time with no problems. Good luck! Next time, you should askt his on the sims2 site.

ive never heard of the maxmotives cheat for the Sims 2, but try it anyway. I would just try the "boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled true" cheat and Shift+click (make sure cursor is over toddler) and choose "set to birthday" and then do a normal click on the toddler or baby and click "grow up" if u dont want them to grow up just use the moveobjects on cheat and delete and if u havent make a new baby and see what happens.

(you may also want to try calling a Nanny and see if she does anything)

if it happens again exit out the lot and DONT save it. or dont use the moveobjects on cheat. 'cause if u move the baby in the crib then the sim wont be able to get to the baby.

MaxMotives will not hurt anything and will make ur baby happy so the social worker will not come. I agree with the last person about setting it to birthday so it will grow up. That should fix it. Good Luck!!

Switch to a differant house/ neighborhood. Its freezing, its just broken in that area. Differnat neighborhood should work. I once couldnt get to my crib. and once the maid didnt leave for days! Nannys make it crash, and they often don't go, and you cant hold ur baby! xx
