Pearsonally we are waiting until our youngest is 6 so that we won't be limited to any of the rides. also I want my kids to remember it all and have a really great time. It's hard to explain to a three year old that waiting in line will be worth the fun of the ride. Also I suggest that you take your kids in the off season and pull them out of school for a week so the lines won't be bad. The first time I went to disnyland that is what my parents did and we got on all of the rides with a very minimal wait. I don't think that we had to wait for more that 15 min. It's worth the missed week of elementry school, for all of the great memories! When I asked st disneyland they said the slowest time was february and the only thing you will miss is some of the street shows (which I couldn't care for) and the the crowds. Have an awesome time whenever you choose is the best time to go.

Actually, this is the perfect age. They're both too small to ride the bigger kid rides now. If you wait much longer, the older one will want to ride the roller coasters while the little one is still into exploring Minnie Mouse's house.
If you pick the right time of year, you won't have to worry about lines. We went in late October, and it was PERFECT. We never waited more than twenty minutes in any line...not once. We went to the parks early in the morning - there was NOBODY else there. We'd head back to the hotel around 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon, have a short nap, dinner, and go swimming at night.
We had an absolute blast!

We took our daughter at 3. She had a blast. We used fast pass, which will get you on rides faster. I'll say this though, I don't know about your 3 yr old, but mine can occupy herself with the rocks in the parking lot. We found that the waiting and the price didn't weigh well against the fact that we could go somewhere cheaper (or free) and have just as much fun. This year, she just turned 4, we are going to Disney Village, the Disney shopping center. Gramma will let her pick out some fun things and just seeing all the Disney characters will be a blast. So, I'd go both ways. They'll have fun, but there's easier, less stressful ways of doing so. Have fun!

I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old and debated the whole Disneyland thing last summer. We ended up at Knott's Berry Farm - not too far from Disneyland. They had a blast! There are tons of rides all the little kids can go on and the lines aren't long at all. We really enjoyed ourselves.
To make up for not actually going to Disneyland we took the kids to Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel.. They got to eat breakfast with a lot of the characters.

EVERY time I hear/see this kind of question and see all the ridiculous answers of "they won't remember, don't bother" I want to SCREAM!!
Do we not do things like - Give Xmas gifts to the little kids: cuz they won't remember? Do we not read them bedtime stories: cuz they won't remember? Do we not bring them to visit Grandma and Grandpa: cuz they won't remember when they are older??? PUH-LEEZE!!
Of course not!! We do things for our children, not only for their enjoyment, but for OUR enjoyment. Enjoyment of the MOMENT!!
Do YOU remember every little bit of what you did last year's vacation?? Or the one five years ago? You were an adult or "old enough to remember." I know I can't remember every little thing! (I once spent an entire summer in CA with relatives -- parents sent me out on my own -- and I can't even remember all of that!! And I was definitely "old enough to remember" at that age.)
I have three children and I have brought them all at different ages. One child has been there when they were 2, 5 and 10. The middle child has been there when she was 3 and 8 and the youngest went when she was 4.
Let me tell you - TWO years old was the BEST age to bring them! It was PURE MAGIC to them! They believed EVERYTHING that they saw! My child was a perfect angel that day! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! They were in absolute HEAVEN!! About the hardest part of the day was that he wanted to be carried or held while we were standing in line. Which was okay. Simple request. Just think about the height that they are at that age! Would you want to look at peoples rears all day?!?
The older that they get, the more "whatever" "that's just a person in a costume" attitude. The more that they just want to eat the next treat around the corner, rather than experience all the fun around them!
It's only going to be worth it if YOUR heart is in it!!! Personally, I don't mind the crowds, the lines -- I figure, we're all in it together. Just put some little goodies or simple toys in a duffle bag to entertain your young kids while they wait in line and you'll be set. Show a good attitude to them so they keep in a good mood!!
Good luck!!

I went when i was 2. I don't remember a thing, BUT my older sisters who were 5 and 8, loved it. I think maybe you should wait until the 3 year old is 4 or 5 and the 6 year old is 7 or 8.

I would wait a couple years or so. The 3 year old is too young to see and enjoy the things to make the trip worthwhile. I have 3 children ages 20, 18, and 13 and have asked them about things they did when they were 2 or 3 and they can hardly remember anything like, the circus, parades, cartoons, parties, etc.

The 3 year old is only going to be able to deal with it for about 4 hours. It's hot, crowded and there's too much waiting for a small child. I'd really suggest you wait until the youngest is about 6. Then you stand a better chance of them enjoying it.
Honestly, there was a small zoo near our house, which had a wonderful playground for the kids. My daughter loved that at 3. We would spend a couple of hours at the zoo, and another hour on the playground.
I'd really do something on a smaller scale for them. Wait until they can both appreciate it.

wait untill the 3 year old is older like 8 and the 6 year old is 11 so they will rememeber it .or u could wait until they are both teenagers. I think may be they can do more there then just rides but even if they can't its still worth taking them there so they will have the experience of being there and so they will be be able to till there friends that they went there.

Depends when you're thinking of taking your trip.We took our 3 year old in May and it was wonderful.October is also a great time, not so many crowds and wait times are less.Avoid the summer months like the plague!Nightmare for adults let alone little ones.
My boys were 3 and 5 when we went to THE WORLD and they still talk about it 4 years on.We have been to both FL and CA many times but I truly believe FL wins out every time.
