It does not float
whatever it is the liquid has to be less dense than the ice

The way to determine this is to ask if the two volumes have equal mass, which is the same as asking if the density is the same.
Recall that density is mass/volume. Since a cube of ice will displace an equal volume of alcohol, the "v"olume part of the density equation stays the same. So then you must ask if the two equal volumes have equal mass.
Look up the density of ice and alcohol. Most likely, the density of ice is greater than the density of alcohol. Given that you have equal volumes, that means that ice will have a greater mass per volume than alchol. That greater mass will be pulled down to the bottom of the glass.

an ice cube will float in anything that had a higher density than the ice cube... this is why it floats in water... because water is the most dense at liquid form...
to get back to your question... i doubt it... not because i know the density of alcohol [because to be honest i don't] but i'm guessing it is less dense than ice simply because i can't remember it ever floating in my drinks... or maybe i was too drunk to remember..?? hahahaha

The density of water ice is 0.917 g / cm ³ while ethyl alcohol is 0.790 g / cm ³, so an ice cube will sink like a rock in a glass of pure ethyl alcohol.

You're asking about particular specific densities of the ice and alcohol. You can find that information and much more on this web site: http://www.simetric.co.uk/si_liquids.htm
"The density of ice is 0.931 gm/cubic cm. This compares with a density of 1.00 gm/cubic cm. for water. There are eleven different forms of crystalline ice that are know. The hexaganol form known as ice Ih is the only one that is found naturally."

Yes of course, since the ice cube is solid and obviously more dense than liquid it will float in alcohol.

Pure alcohol is lighter than ice so the ice sinks.

Pure alcohol? It will sink, because the ice is denser than the pure alcohol.
