I find lately, no matter how warmly I dress I can't keep warm and often find myself shivering. I'm normally able to adapt well to winters (being a Canadian and all) but this year I just can't stay warm.

I've been dieting lately...Can that have an effect on as to whether or not my body can retain heat? I'm not like stick skinny or anything.

I'm only 18, lol so I'm not old. I only consume between 1000-1100 calories a day.

I'm near the toronto area too, and damn it's be so freakin cold! -34 today! it's nuts!

Wow, that fat dodgy bastard with the arrogant screen name and typing in all caps really gets under my skin...

You need to be eating at least 1300 calores a day, anything less is considered crash dieting. That has everything to do with your bodies inability to produce heat.

yes, it could most definitely have an effect. food fuels your body, therefore enableing you to regulate body temperature. If you're eating healthy, then thats not the problem but if its a crash diet then it probably is. I am Canadian too though, and have you noticed that it has been especially cold this year? at least where I am (Toronto area). SO it might just be that. Also, good circulation does decreses with age so... well, I'm not saying you're old, you look quite young, but you're not as young as you USED to be.

I dont know what it is but this winter I have been feeling colder than normal. It could be blood circulation. I find that having a cup of soup warms me up. Works much better than coffee. Since you are dieting it could be that your body is not getting enough fuel. If it makes you feel better woman are known to always complain about being cold lol

ALSO DIETS CAN MAKE YOU COLD CAUSE YOUR NOT TAKING IN THAT MANY CALORIES !
