Sorry, It is hard to understand your question.

But I will Guess...
1. You have a computer downstairs hooked up to a DSL modem that is connected to phoneline or cable for hi speed internet service.

2. You have another computer upstairs, that you would like to have Hi speed internet service.

This is what you do...Buy a wireless router and a USB wireless -receiver (make sure they are the same brand.)

Internet wire downstairs goes to DSL modem...wire from Modem goes to Wireless Router.(input slot)...Wire from output of wireless router goes to downstairs computer.

Up stairs... USB wireless receiver is plugged into the computerUSB port.

once the upstairs computer has the set-up procedures done as per the set-up disc that comes with the router, Both computers can access the internet independantly.

Hope this is what you wanted.

You need a wireless router to work with your PSP. Linksys will work so will others though. If you want to get a signal upstairs it just depends on how far that may be but usually a wireless g with speedbooster should suffice. Just connect your cable modem to your new router and do the setup. Make sure you turn on wireless encryption and make note of what type you picked and the wep key. You will need it when you setup the PSP for wireless internet. I think you may be able to find a wireless router for around $50 or so. Hope this helps.

There is some security node preventing your psp and ds from connecting, but yes you can. No, you cannot hook a router up to the cable to get a connection, there has to be a hardwired computer to present an IP and accept the signal from the line. I use D-link, and thats the same case I was in. Once I hooked it up to my pc, it was all good.

If you ahve a Linksys WIRELESS router than it will work with PSP and DS. Make sure that there is no security on the router or else it will cut you off when you try to connect.
