There's, of course Harry Potter, Inheritance trilogy by Christopher Paolini, Pellinor series by Alison Croggon, girls will like Claidi journals by Tanith Lee. For teens I recommend The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R Tolkein, Libba Bray's series, Cara Lockwood's Bard Academy books, or Marjane Satrapi's graphic novel biography series Persepolis.

Well for kids 12 and up i would say Harry Potter and Lord Of the Rings and the cronicles of Narnia.
Under 12 maybe The Boxcar Children.

LOL almost everyone said "Harry Potter" and I have to agree! also "the Chronicles of Narnia" and "A Series of Unfortunate Events" um, I can think of more just not now. Yeah I know, everything I just said someone has already said, lol.

Good Luck!

It depends on the kid or teen.

But, one that seems to be universal is the Harry Potter series.

One of my favorite series' is the Blue is for Nightmares series, by Laurie Faria Stolarz.

If you're thinking about 2nd or 3rd grade level both boys and girls like the Junie B. Jones book.

And there is always the classic Boxcar series.
