I live in NH. Here if we have a sec.8 we can use that voucher towards buying a home. Right now I believe that I can rent a house for up to 1,300- a month. So does anyone know how much money houseing would pay towards morgage? Would it be up to the 1,300, more, less? I dont know if anyone can help, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Although you may use the voucher, you really need to know how much house you will qualify for based on the income and your credit score.
Ask your bank (it is free) for a pre-qualification letter to get the basics about how much loan and payment you can qualify for. (to include principal, interest , property taxes and insurance) . . .
then ask sec 8 about using it for the mortgage payment.
