Hi. USB ports are rectangular and usually located on the back, but Dell computers have them on the front under the swing up cover. The port can connect to an device (printer, camera, flash drive, etc.) that uses USB as a connection.

USB is a small portable flash memory card that plugs into your computers USB port and functions as a portable hard drive. They are also known as thumb drives or jump drives. They do not come with your computer but are purchased separately at office supplies or even Walmart has them.

the USB ports are usually found at the back of your CPU casing.
printers of today are plugged in the USB drives.. a USB drive looks like a small rectangular slot. it is also near where you plug in you monitor..

a USB drives however is different from USB ports.. these USB drives are a substitute for using diskettes... they store more files than a regular diskette can handle... these USB drives are to be plugged into one of your USB slots that as i said above usually found at the back of your CPU casing....

USB drive is like a floppy disk but its much smaller and I believe it varies on how much memory they could hold. Also, you connect it to a USB port in your hard drive. Its also very easy to carry.. and lose!
