I am assuming that this question is for real, and not a bad joke.
Of course you need to tell that person. A person should be allowed to have the chance to wrap up things in their life. To make sure that they do not leave others in pain because they were never able to say goodbye. This person also has those that he or she loves and would want to make sure that they know his or her true feelings.
Would you deny this person a proper ending to his or her life?

That is a tough question. If you asked your heart, the answer would be no. The heart clearly operates on making others happy to make it feel better. If you asked your head, it would say yes because the head is always the more logical one. I personally think it depends on the situation. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and never left the hospital because at point to diagnoses, it was to far gone and to late to try to save her. We had to tell her. If she would have had a few years given to her, I probably would have chose not to tell her so she could live life to the fullest without having the thought of death clouding her days. Very sad to think that we face these situations often in our lives. It never gets easier but I think this was a great question.

Absolutely. Perhaps there is something that person has always wanted to do, but never felt they could take time from family commitments to do. My sister in law died year before last and her family kept it from her. She kept saying, "just as soon as i get well I'm going to do so and so". I think it is criminal to keep that information from an adult. From a child, perhaps, but never from an adult.
