Currently, I have 110 dollars saving up for either system. I make approxametly 65 to 70 dollars a week and I expect to get either of these systems NEXT MONTH. When you give me suggestions, please tell me the pros and cons of each and keep in mind the games that may come out for those systems next month.

I would say the 360 even though I am a Sony fan myself. I am a computer major so i know system power when I see it. (and whats a study break without games). Ok so here we go...

The Xbox 360 has Unified Memory Architecture that lets the CPU and GPU share the system's 512MB of memory. The PlayStation 3 on the other had has 256MB of XDR memory and 256MB of GDDR3 memory dedicated to graphics, so that would make the system run slower even though they both have about the same "visual" graphics (we're not cmputers so we can see that 1 bit of extra graphics)

The 360 also has embedded video memory which the PS3 doesn't. The 360 also has backward compatibility with Xbox (limited), stands vertically or horizontally, interchangable face plates, Xbox live service, and media center extender. And if you put that on a tally; 360-10 PS3-2.

For plug and play capability 360 has 20GB removable harddrive.

And for digital media formats 360 has DVD-Video, DVD-ROM, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD-DA, CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, WMA CD, MP3 CD, JPEG Photo CD.

The cons for the 360 are that if you have friends over you should only bring 3 because 360 can have only up to 4 controllers at once but PS3 can have 7.

In game media format PS3 uses Blue-ray while 360 uses DVD-layer DVD-ROM, and that is about all.

Also like The JZA said Xbox 360 has a bigger game format since it came out earlier.

ok first of all even if the ps3 had bugs(witch i have not seen at all) and i have one there is something that exists called a system update allowing to correct these "bugs" the ps3 has incredible graphics, sound and a built in bluray player(tell me how much a bluray player costs) sure there may not be a whole lot of die for games out yet but look at its longview it has mgs4,dmc4,resident evil5,lair heavenly sword and tons of other games im just dying to play now look at the x -box 360's future what do you see? i dont see much besides halo 3 another point i want to make is the x-box360's remote i cant get comfortable with that thing they actually call controller now the ps3's remote ive been used to that since the first generation ps1 and i cant imagine playing a system without that controll it just would not seem right.online? microsofts online may be just be alittle better than ps3's you have to pay for online services now the ps3's online is free. dude trust me you just cant go wrong with sonys system that cell procesor the ps3 has is going to be capable of making the games of the future. i truly immerse myself into these kinds of things regarding games so enough of me boring you.

Well i dunno about the pos3 I don't have one. I do have a 360 and I love it. I have it networked wirelessly with my computer, and I can share my music, picture, and videos. Mainly I share my 5gig of music, so when im downstairs chilling with my friends I can play my music from upstairs on the surround sound and big creen. Plus, it has great games out and more coming. You can download tv episodes, movies, old school arcade games. It has wireless everything. You can also now use your wireless 360 devices with your windows pc. You can plug your ipod or other mp3 player or your camera into the 360 and save stuff onto the 360 from them. Overall I think its great, then up it with an hdtv or in my case a 22 inch wide screen monitor and omg its awesome. 360 all the way!

360, PS3 just tried to copy the 360 and Wii, then slap on a $600 price tag. Most people can afford it, but it's no where near worth it.
