Does anyone know why the president uses so many pens when he signs a new bill?

One for every dignitary present at the signing ceremony.And those Pens are not Cheap either.

So that each of the supporters of the bill, usually behind him, can say they have a pen that signed the bill into law. Frankly, I thinks it's a bit much myself.

To make sure that if one fails to write there are lots of reserved pens to use and to definitely sign the bill on the scheduled date!

Because those pens become collectors items and are given out as gifts.

Maybe because he doesn't like writing with pencils that have no sharpness and he's too lazy to sharpen, lol.
