As the Cincinnati Reds are 6-0 (the only perfect record left) in spring training, I look back at last year. We won the entire Grapefruit League, and still no one believed we were contenders. However, we took the race to the playoffs to the second-to last day of the season. Honestly, after a few changes, I think we are even stronger this year. The Reds are such an unpredictable team though. How well do you guys think they'll this season?

The Reds could possibly be a sleeper team, but it's so hard to win the NL Central with so many good teams. It's the only division with six teams, and the Reds have to face the Cardinals and Astros who have proven they can be good every year, and improved Brewers and Cubs teams. I doubt the Reds make the playoffs, but look for them to be a big factor in the teams in the NL who do.

Your division is weak- Houston and St. Louis lost key components from last year, Chicago will probably be better but who knows for sure who's pitching after Zambrano and Meche. Cincinnati will score runs, but their ptiching might not hold up. I would guess third place and 80 wins.

They could be a dark horse team. Harang and Arroyo aren't household names but they are top-tier pitchers. I like the offense too. They can score in bunches--but also have those huge droughts. They also need their 3-5 pitchers to step up because on paper, they aren't likely to get it done.

The biggest obstacle for them is not the Cards. It's the Cubs.

They will go 89-73 and win the wild card. They will beat the Padres in the NLDS then lose to the Mets in the NLCS.
