Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches). Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas (natural muscle relaxers) daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles). Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago. Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain. The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles). For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

This is something i grew up in. My mom suffered from them untill it was found that she had low blood sugar. To many "sweets" or carbs would trigger the migraines. Woman have many things that can trigger the migraines, more so than men. As you know stress, your eye sight, computer, smells, just about anything can cause them. But, if you have had them more than 3 days, it may be the same as my mother's issue your eaten habbits. Which was my case as a youth and teen. I grew out of it, but for some like my mother, she grew into it as an adult. I found that strong pain relievers and a very hot shower helped alot. The very warm, almost hot, water pass over your head expands blood veins allowing blood to pass easier, allowing, the meds to reach the much need area. I feel for you! I really do. I hope the Dr. has done blood work and this issue will be resolved. Having seen my mothers pain and feeling mine years ago, I feel for you. My fingers are crossed and will pray. Good luck friend.

If a doctor cannot help you, I'm not sure if I can.

Request that your doctor recommend a doctor who specializes more in these areas. Stress the fact that you are concerned and would like to take some more serious action.

It might just be stress, etc. Take some time off of work or school and relax, clearing any problems or concerns in your life from your mind and taking a day or two to relax.

Hi ,

Have you been tested for allergies? Sometimes severe allergies will have many different side effects. Think back to the day it started, try and retrace your steps whether you ate something or bought something new in your house, maybe paint or even some cleaning product . Have a complete blood analysis done and see if there is anything else missing in your diet. If its not any of these , then maybe it is a mental issue ,like depression or stress
or maybe something as simple as not enough water in your diet.
Let me know if this has helped any.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Since you have gone to the trouble of having a MRI we can rule out the tumour. That helps.

There are a number of other causes that will not show up and they include:
parasites
toxicity
stress

I am aligned with a research and development company that manufactures products that can help in all of these areas. If you are genuinely interested in finding out more you may email me directly at leanne27@aapt.net.au. The company is celebrating 20 years this year and the reason for that is simple. Their products work!

make sure to drink 8 cups of water, sometimes dehydration can give you a headache, these foods are known to cause migeraines = aged meats, MSG, soy, bananas, dairy, cabbage, eggplant, hard cheese, potatoes, raspberries, plums and tomatoes. Try taking calcium and magnesium (chelated) and CoQ10 (it increases blood flow to the brain) and DMG improves brain oxygenation. I get headaches alot and my doctor actually prescribed me caffeine pills, it helped my headaches, so whenever I get a head ache I have a cup of coffee. I hope this helps.

Where does your head hurt? From experience,I have bad nasals and you could possibly have a nasal infection or an allergy.Do you drink alot of soda?Caffeine headaches suck.If all else fails I would try the doctor again, because you haven't ruled out all the possibilities yet.

You should try a therapeutic massage....Find a place near you that does trigger point therapy, and make sure you tell them you have headaches. It could be your muscles in your back tightening up, and causing it to pull down on your neck, thus creating a headache. It has worked miracles with me.....

Good Luck!

Do you have a doctor or a clinic close by that has specialists in pain management? If so, make an appointment with them and see if they can assist you. Also, do you really need to take the iron pills, that could be part of the problem.
