Any!! As a newborn even. I have worked with many babies and have 4 children of my own. You should only use the pedialyte if there is a danger of dehydration though and your child can't seem to keep anything else down. Formula or breast milk should be first choice, even if they are sick or congested. You can also try alternating bottles. Milk, pedialyte, milk.

As soon as they need to- that is you should only be giving your child pedialyte if they are vomiting or have diarrhea. If that's the case, you need to replenish their fluids no matter what age. Give an ounce in a bottle and see what happens. Of course after six months you could regularly give them pedialyte, but you can also give them juice, which is a lot cheaper.

My daughter was 6 months old and had a fever and her doc told me that I should give her pedialyte so that she didn't get dehydrated.

My son was several months old - I can't give an exact age though. All I know was that I was given a restriction of how much he could have because of how many months he was.
Just talk to your pediatrian and they'll recommend what's best for your child.

Our pediatrician recommended that we start giving pedyalite to our baby boy after the 1st month, once a day to start. His main reason for this is to get baby used to the taste, so that he does not refuse it in a future when he needs it for upset tummy.
