I can't wait either and am keeping my fingers crossed! I'm so excited I just submitted my information to be a volunteer to help anyway I can.

The USOC arrived to Chicago today to see the tour/presentation/projected ideas for 2016. I read earlier today that a videotaped message of support from Barack Obama greeted an 11-member U.S. Olympic Committee evaluation team when it arrived at Soldier Field for an all-day session.

I think Chicago will/should get the bid for two reasons:

(1) Los Angeles have hosted the Olympics twice already, in 1932 and recently in 1984.

(2) I'm pretty sure the 1904 Olympic Games was originally scheduled for Chicago but relocated to St Louis by President Roosevelt at the time.
