Wow, I can see you really want a fast answer to this, but unfortunately, it really depends on a lot of things.

You say it's 3 X 6", but is it solid 3" thick? If so, it could take 3 or 4 days to harden. If it's only 1/4" thick covering a 3" shell, (if it's hollow) it might dry overnight if the air can get inside.

It also depends on the temperature and humidity - if it's in a warm, dry place (above a room heater, for instance) it will dry faster than if it's on a cold damp windowsill or in a humid room.

Don't forget, the base of your sculpture (where it rests on the table) will dry much more slowly if air can't get at it.

SO - thick clay takes many days, thin clay possibly overnight. You could help it dry faster by blowing a cool hair dryer on it, but don't overdo the heat.

EDIT: I just discovered there are hundreds of types of Laguna Clay... better call their 800 number and ask them!
California location at (800) 4-LAGUNA (452-4862)
Ohio location at (800) 762-4354 ext. 201 or 202.

in my experience, a few days depending on the thickness & how much you've worked it . tp.mullin popclt.com
