yup there's a site designed specifically for this. they even pay you for your stories and written things, but i heard its not a lot.

I write a lot for Helium. Much of their content is non-fiction, but there is a hearty creative writing group. It costs nothing to join and in a year or so, you'll knock down about $10. It's a great site with a lot of feedback from other writers. Good Luck...

If it's science fiction or fantasy, try http://www.elfwood.com It's a good HUGE site where people can post their SF&F art and stories and other writers and artists can comment on them. they keep changing their domain name, but that's where I went for a while. It gives you a chance to post your stories and get feedback from the readers.
