Seriosuly, Hollister and Abercrombie can get wayyy more expensive!!! These are some true price comparisons:

Hollsiter tote bag: $40-49.50
American Eagle tote bag: 19.50 (i got it and it is NOT cheap stuff)

You see, everything these days can get very expensive!! I totally understand what you mean, but American Eagle isn't the only one with the problem.

I shop there and don't find it to be over priced, because it's pretty good quality. Stores like Hollister and Abercrombie are more pricey but some of the things I've bought from there haven't been the best of quality.

But of course, that's exactly WHY they spike the prices at those type of shops.

I mean, really, if you have a handbag from the famous Louis Vitton for $650, and a handbag from Target for $4.99, which one do you think is more trendy?

I personally don't agree with what our society has molded fashion into, but unfortunately, it's based around price.

High prices = Cool

aeropostale clothes are kinda...
cheap. no, i'm not talking only money-wise!
but clothes from a & f are so much more comfortable.

don't get me wrong, though.
i still shop at aero.

Of course they are ridiculously overpriced—because they spend so much money on marketing to convince teenage wannabees that they are the sh|t, when in fact you can get the same quality clothes or better, for less, someplace else.

My Dad just said to me that they're capitalizing on their brand image, which is good business. I guess he's right. Sigh.

if you haven't noticed, AE, abercrombie and fitch, and hollister are very popular stores tom shop at, and since the clothes are so pretty, many people are willing to pay a lot for them.

I also think american eagle is expensive since you can get much nice clothes at say Armani Exchange for a few bucks more. A t-shirt at AX is roughly $30. You get a big name brand for only 6$ more. The quality is also 100% better.

that's not unusual

most stores these days have those kind of prices

it's because of the high quality material the products are made of
