Archeobacteria- scientists separated this from Bacteria a couple of years ago. Linnaeus originally grouped everything into plants and animals. Now the kindgoms are: Plants, Animals, Protists, Fungi, Archaebacteria, Eubacteria (all bacteria that isn't Archaebacteria)
Scientists are still debating on the whole Virus thing. somes say they are living since they reproduce and seem to follow the other characteristics of living things. However, they use other organisms' cells to do the photocopying of DNA and don't do this themselves, so as of right now, I believe they are not considered living.
