Oral history is a method of historical documentation, using interviews with living survivors of the time being investigated. Whereas written history is history found in a books such as encyclopedias. Newspapers are also an example or written history. Basically written history is any history that was written down.

Writen history glorifies or demonizes Hitler. Oral history brings out what a boring person he was. For example, "Until the Last Hour," by his secretaryTraudl Junge is essentially an oral history, because she told it to someone else who wrote it down.
