most people are automatically "against" me and keep on reading the question with prejudice???
Why is it less accepted to say "i am beautiful" than "i am ugly" if both are pointing to a reality??

People don't like the truth unless it's watered down.

It's because society really jumps to the conclusion that people are either arrogant or self conciouss. There's magazines everywhere of people plastering themselves, wearing clothes that read Juciy, and somwhere along the line it became Unnaceptable to be boasting about beauty unless it's like a joke. If people are saying their ugly, they have low self esteem and people can do something for them. People are so stunned today because people are more self conciouss than not, I mean how often today do you see people that are photoshoped beauty pasted everywhere? Self concioussness is so common it's accepted, I guess somwhere along the line envy and hate play against beauty, and if someone says that they posses beauty and are comfortable with it maybe people respond so angrily because they want to posses beauty, or the ability to say they are attractive.
:\ am I close?

I don't think it's so much that they're "against" you as it is they continue to read with the thought "Oh well, here's another one.", or "Well, someone else bragging on themselves." Everyone says they're cute and attractive or well-built or whatever, whether they are or not. It's unfortunate, but even when you're telling the truth it's hard for people to believe because there are so many people out here who lie about their looks.

Try starting out with something different, and even if you want to put in something about your looks, word it differently, just come up with a more original way of telling the world how attractive you are. If you *really* want to be different, bring the looks up later in a casual, offhand way, like it's not really important at all. When the emphasis is on looks, people tend to think you're shallow, (whether it's true or not) and get turned off.

People find that arrogant and narcissistic so you won't be taken seriously. People who stress that they're attractive and cute usually aren't. Bragging about your looks is a major turn-off. Saying something like "I'm not an unattractive man" sounds a bit more modest. People who say they're ugly usually have low self-esteem and are looking for pity.

out of control EGO makes you ugly. i would never call a man beautiful. Looks are subjective. And it seems that you are not very objective.

If you started a sentence like that to me, I'd assume you were stuck up, stuck on yourself and interested in talking only about yourself. And I'd pretty much leave you to it.

For most people, anyone with any kind of ego or looks reminds them that they think they themselves are a just mediocre and unattractive.
