I want a ps3 but i wanna no if its really worth it so i wanna no if its gonna over heat or not n if so does it have a fan

No the PS3 dose not over heat like 360 did. I have heard on a PS3 video that they put small fans in it like 3 or 4 that help keep it cool.

i have a ps3 and i have played the xbox 360. the ps3 kills it in every area except present games, and that will all change soon. anyway, i have played my ps3 with my friends for over four hours and it has not even come close to overheating. it has an extremely quiet fan that is quite effective. if it does overheat, which would take about 12 hours of constant gameplay, the light starts to blink so there is no danger of ruining your ps3

It does have a fan, but it is really quiet. It's on the top (if it's positioned vertically) or on the right (horizontally) so be sure to keep that area clear to prevent it from overheating.
I've had mine since early January and have yet to experience any issues with overheating, just keep things about a foot away from the fan side, things in that area have a tendency to get rather hot.

I have a PS3 it's SOOOOO worth it!!!! GET ONE. It does get kind of hot after a while but the system is still okay. It does have a fan. You can keep playing it when it's hot, the PS3 can handle it. Besides if you turn it off (after you're done playing it) it cools off right away.

If it doesn't work don't worry it has a one-year warrenty. Just make sure you don't get a PS3 that was part of the first shipment because I've heard they are broken. Sony did a sloppy job on them because they were trying to release them early.

i dont have a ps3 but in a magazine (b4 it came out) with its final design said that it does not have a fan

Sony put a fan in all of the playstations, but it dosent compensate for the high price.
believe me, its not worth it.
