Do not use yahoo! default rankings, regardless if this is your first time or not.. if anything, I'd probably even rely on Brandon Funston's Big Board rankings for fantasy baseball this season before using the yahoo! default ranks. Because the y! defaults leave so many good players out of the top 100.

Top 20 by position.

C - None make top 20, but Mauer is close.
1B - There's an overload of top 20 1B's including Pujols, Howard, Ortiz.
2B - Only Utley makes the top 20, few 2B's are even worth taking in the first 4 rounds.
3B - ARod, Wright, Cabrera.
SS - Reyes, Jeter.
OF - Crawford, etc.
P - Johan Santana.

Avoid catchers and 2nd base until the end of the draft. Try to focus on OF's relatively early - grab a couple corner IF's early to anchor your team and make sure you grab someone like Jose Reyes, Hanley Ramirez, or Carl Crawford that can give you 50 steals and not hurt your power numbers.

The default is a good way to go, and it also helps to put players you don't want over on the do not draft list.

For simplicity's sake, use Yahoo! default rankings as a guide. You can cross reference with other websites such as:
mlb.com
espn.com
sportsline.com
sportingnews.com
si.com
fanball.com

Just use default if this is your first time. Then you can understand how it works.
