Well, just don't wear shoes as a start :) After that a lot will depend on the rules in your school and what kind of work you want to do. There are places you can work at that will allow bare feet, even in the US. Try the IT perhaps, any home business of course, lots of creative/artistic things will probably work although they tend not to pay much. But many office jobs should be okay too; computers, paper and such can't possibly be called dangerous and I've never found a keyboard or mouse that worked better or worse depending on what I wore on my feet or elsewhere, as long as my hands were bare. I'll link in the source to an article 'A case for bare feet' that a barefooter wrote some years ago to help convince his employer to let him go barefoot.

It is NOT against any laws to go barefoot in stores, restaurants, or to drive barefoot. People, PLEASE don't get your health education from store windows. I don't mind if you don't like going barefoot, to each their own, but don't spread falsehoods like this. Look up the other links in the source for proof. These 'health department laws' are persistant myths, but while some stores do have store policies, there are NO health laws requiring footwear. Driving barefoot is legal too, and for those interested there was an interesting article in an Australian paper just a few days ago, about many types of footwear that folks wear being more dangerous!

Many barefooters have written & called to insurance companies and so far we've failed to find a single one that requires or even recommends footwear requirements for customers.

Nor do you catch diseases by going barefoot, the hookworm is all but eradicated from the Southern US since modern plumbing, and even before that it never was a problem in cooler climates. Athlete's foot won't get a hold on bare skin; you're at much more risk from this if you put your foot down on the floor briefly and then put it inside a closed shoe. It likes dark, damp, warm places to grow but it doesn't thrive at all in well-ventilated, light and generally dry places.

I have been barefoot for ten years, was long out of school then but I have had several jobs that way. However I do live in Europe; barefooting is very rare here but there's little or none of the bias that you see in the US. I have never seen a single sign requiring shoes on a store or restaurant window, and people generally believe it's healthy rather than dirty or dangerous. The US is the ONLY country where people are so very opposed to bare feet, and not based on facts but on assumptions and myths, as the sources will show.

Everytime my feet get swore I take my shoes off and walk barefoot. It feels really good and natural. Everyone should try to walk barefoot once in awhile. Man was made to walk barefoot.

I had a friend who wanted to see how long he could go barefoot to my high school. His trick was wearing pants that kind of covered his feet up so that no one could really see his feet. This technique is also useful because at a glance people just assume that you have sandles on. My friend only lasted about 5 hours because he had to wear shorts for gym class!!

hope this helps!

It relies upon. each time i might in any different case positioned on turn flops: confident. NO if i'm great sluggish bumper to bumper site visitors—barefoot potential having to boost the foot on the brake pedal on an analogous time as shoes enable pivoting on the heel so i'm actual wearing closed shoes.

You can't. There are health laws requiring shoes in some public places. Stay out of the public and you can stay barefoot.

Why would you want to. It's not all that healthy as you don't know what you will step in and how you can cut up your feet. It is also unsanitary and would not be allowed in most work situations. Anyway, you have to know that it is illegal to drive a car without shoes on. So, give it up and get shoes.
