What kind of Christian Music is Mercy Me?

Having been on the web site of this band they call themselves a worship band. They travel the US worshipping God(as in Jesus) I haven't heard a lot of their music but I have heard 'I can only imagine' which bought me to tears it was so touching but they are a rock/christian with a heavy /christian rock influence if petra heavy metal christian band when the members were growing up

It's kind of hard to explain. It's little rock and a little pop. You just have to hear it. Do you know the song "I can only imagine" ? That's a Mercy Me song. They're kinda like Dave Matthews Band I guess. I like them.
