Its totally fine! infact its probably the safest and most economical thing you can use. Just make sure its unbleached and unscented.

Its fine but I realized it does not keep things as clean as bedding, it easily gets dirty from feces in a few days, while bedding can last a week. So if you use toilet paper be prepared to change every 3 days at least.

Toilet paper rolls are great...if you put one or a few in their cage they will chew them into little pieces and bed with them.
I would be a little leery of actual toilet paper...it is so thin and as soon as it hits any amount of moisture it has this way of sticking and ripping apart. I would imagine if your hamster tried to chew it up it would just stick to its little tongue and he would end up eating most of it.
:( Oh well...I could be wrong.

Toilet Paper is fine and reccomended by almost all breeders and stores. I use it for mine all the time. It's really fun to give them a whole roll and watch them shred it!

You can use toilet paper, kleenex, styrofoam peanuts, paper towels and even bits of twine or string - or splurge and give him some bits of straw.

I know someone who used toilet paper in their hamsters cage. Ask a vet or something if you're not sure.

i'd use kleenex instead. it is softer and easier for them to shred.
