Either present wise, or going out somewhere. He's quite a shy person and doesn't like being the centre of attention with lots of people. I was thinking along the lines of arranging for a couple of mates to go go-karting with us...but have you got any better ideas? No dirty answers please...he will get that anyway ;-p (it goes without saying!)

Basically, any tangible or intangible thing can be an excellent present for him as long as it has your true tender love and affection in it.

One possible idea is to organize a surprising day-out for him.
It can be just between yourselves or at the former parts, you can bring your or his friends together, but at the latter parts, you should spare it for just you and him.

1. Starting a day drive for some near popular attractions or some beautiful places where you can enjoy the activities or the views.

2. Lunch with him : The lunch should be your own hand-made
one. Prepare with care and affection. Try to put something unexpected, like a heart-shaped omelete or something.

3. Spend the afternoon strolling or visiting other romantic places.

4. In the evening, try to make cozy and romantic atmosphere.
You could go back your place for a while and change the clothes for more charming ones.

5. After eating the dinner at a certain nice restaurant, you should go to someplace where you can be just between two of you.
There, give him your special present for him.
Now, as for the special present, I would suggest a specially compiled DVD or VIDEO featuring yourself at many aspects of your daily life up to now. for example, your pictures of young days and that sort of things. It doesn't have to be a long one.
At the end of the track or tape, insert your own special message to him.

This is my idea.

Be happy and merry!!

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade feeling.

I did something once for my husband which really made him feel great for months. This does take a bit of planning ahead of him so it can't be done last minute.

I had his friends and family answer some questions I'd written up about him (for example: "What movie star does John remind you of?", "Where did you meet John?". etc) on a form I made up. Some were fun questions, some serious. Actually, I really learned a lot about him from reading the replies.

Well, I got the completed pages back and put them in a binder for him. He just loved reading through the answers and it was a very personalized gift!

Hello Tigger,
If you are tiger-like, well go get him tiger, and really stripe him, and go down on one knee, and ASK HIM TO MARRY YOU, Oh and don't forget the ring, but get him a mans finger-ring, and he can spend his life telling everyone it's his engagement ring. what a tigers roar that will cause amongst all his family and friends. No dirty answers from me! but make both of your lives fun, you are both young and obviously very happy and so much in love, GET HIM now, and be happy for all time.
I can see you both now, and only him " gasted by his Flabber"
Oh lucky you, Me? oh I am 62 years old and married for over 42 years, and still nuttily in love with my Susan.xXx. Tony M

Get a bunch of friends together and go to a strip club. Not into that?? Just make him a nice romantic dinner, light some candles, leave rose petals all over everywhere. Draw a nice hot bath with bubbles, throw some petals into that too. Or just go out to a nice resturant and do something that you both like together. As long as he is with the one he loves it's sure to be a memory he'll never forget.

it was my boyfriends 21st last yr, he's so shy i was scared of doing it, but i did him a suprised party. he loved it, and all his family and friends who live away came back. if this is too much theres loadsa other suprises, a birthday meal or whatever. Try looking at boots, wh smiths or something who have loads of ideas for gift experiences. you could have a night away and go to the theatre, go to a health spa, hot air ballooning, whatever. in terms of presents, its a personal thing, i got my boyfriend a guitar which he never could have afforded himself. i also considered getting a beatles painting as he's really into them!

As he is quite a shy person, who don't you book a few nights away for the two of you in a quiet hotel somewhere. A log cabin in the woods would be nice, just the two of you.
