i was sentenced to do labor detail, and i didnt make my first week, so the program was revoked. i had 30 days, but if i turned myself in i'd spend 10-15 days in jail. they put out a warrant for my arrest, but i dont want to turn myself in until after my sister's wedding. so how long will it take for them to pick me up after the warrant was issued, because i dont want them to come to my palce of business. i have 3 weeks till the wedding.,

If I read your story correctly you're going to do 10-15 days anyway. So just turn yourself in and get it over with. 3 weeks = 21 days...you'll be out in time for the wedding.

So much for advice..now on to the question.
The warrant is in effect the second the judge says so. It may take a few hours..probably overnight to be entered into a database. After that you're fair game, it just depends on how hard they want to look for you. Your place of business will be one of the first places they will look.So you will just have to play hides and seek for a while.Don't forget if they hear about the wedding. They will show up there.

Warrants are in effect as soon as the Judge signs it. As for when they pick you up - it could be at ANY time.

The question is - Do you want to be arrested AT your sister's wedding? Not only will this look bad on you, but will also ruin your sister's wedding.

The potential for law enforcement monitoring you on the Internet is 50/50. You may have just provided them with the details on when and where to pick you up. It would be no problem for them to get the details.

The longer you wait - the harder it will be on you. You can take your chances if you want and ruin her wedding. One thing for sure - her husband's family will not be real impressed. Better to bite the bullet and save your sister a potential disaster. IF YOU REALLY LOVE your sister, that is.

Sounds like your crime wasnt that serious they probably wont look for you at work but they will come to your home, wait a minute 10-15 days youll be back out before the wedding, I guess you just dont want to chance missing right, You better hide out find someone to drive for you and just lay low somewhere other than the addressed place they have.

It takes the time that the Judge takes to sign it. Once the judge signs the warrant, it is FULLY in effect.

You should probably turn yourself in now, and get it over with. It'd be really horrifying if during the wedding the police escorted you out of there in handcuffs.
