No, not at all. You are basically giving your baby sugar everyday, that may form very unhealthy habits in the future.
With my daughter I just started with fruits around 5 months anyway so when she is constipated imake sure NOT to give her bananas and I just increase her pears, peaches, and prunes. I also daily give her 1 oz of pear or prune juice mixed with 1 oz of water.
Also if she is formula fed just add an extra 1/2 oz of water in each bottle.

I've never heard of brown sugar as a remedy for constipation, but karo syup (corn syrup) and honey aren't recommended for babies under a year because they can carry botulism, a germ which can be fatal for babies by causing paralysis of the muscles.
If your baby is constipated that often, you should talk to your pediatrician about what might be causing the problem (iron fortified formula is an issue for some babies) and how to prevent it in the future.

It is fine to use dark Karo syrup every day. My daughter was constipated a lot until we started with solids. She is 6 months old now. We give her prunes every few days and she doesn't seem to have any problems now. If your baby is drinks formula, you can also try a different type. Good Luck!

I actually just asked that to my pediatrician today. She said Light Karo syrup is ok to put in your baby's formula (one teaspoon) once a day until you have regular stool again. Then stop and only use when the problem occurs again. I would ask your ped though to make sure I am sure everyone has there own opinion about it.

Baby prune juice or apple juice is better for your baby and works just as well. You should only use it when your baby has been constipated for more than a day and then you should only give him full strength juice once a day for a few days to relieve it too much could give him painful diarrhea. If that does not help you might want to take him to his Dr or give them a call.

it sounds like the perfect issue your 2 month previous favor to do is placed on weight. 16 lbs. places her over the a centesimal percentile. you ought to in no way supply a toddler lower than the age of three hundred and sixty 5 days cows milk. karo syrup could properly be added to a formula in small quantities to help in confusing stools and constipation.

I wouldn`t put it in every day, maybe a couple time a week. But then I am know doctor just a mother of 5 and a grandmother of 18. The best thing to do is ask the babies doctor or nurse or talk to a pharmacist.

no i wouldn;t do it all maybe prune juice
and the maximum amount of any juice or anything that a six month old should have is 6 ounces or watered down juice anymore could make them less hungry and replace formula/breastmilk which could cause failure to thrive
the rule is one ounce for every month old after 4 months before that none at all
P.S. lots of children die a yr all over the world bc their parents water down formula or give them too much other juices and they don't get what they need
