Refilling ink cartridges is always a risk. I experienced the worst-case scenario when a refilled black cartridge leaked ink and ruined both the printer and the desk it was sitting on. Other problems include faulty functioning (streaks, one color not coming through) to clogged jet holes and no printing at all. But most people seem to be lucky, or the refill business wouldn't be so ubiquitous. (all over the place)

Yes you can. I refill mine by purchasing from Office Depot an "inkjet refill kit". You can purchase a pack with 3 color ink or one with black ink. They specify on the box they are for HP printer cartridges; however, they work great on Lexmark and also come with detailed instructions. Cost is $9.95.

Yes you can get refill for them from all good retailers. But you have to watch to make sure that when you've filled the cartridges that when you do print again make sure that the wells of the cartridges show that they are full on the screen when printing again.
