That has always bothered me, too. The bottoms of the feet have such a cool name. It may be spelled wrong but it still makes me think of music, dancing, and spirit.
I just went ahead and gave the tops of my feet names: Fred and Ginger.

Well, the bones at the top of our feet are called tarsals / metatarsals and in our tiptoes are distal phalanges. Dorsum is general that pertains to any posterior or back region.
