Difficult decision.

I'd sit on it for a few weeks into the season. If your team begins to lack that power you say you need, then begin to put out feeler trades to other teams to see if you can pry someone away. Maybe someone will (take the bait/be rewarded) depending on how you look at it.

How's your pitching by the way? Obviously Clemens would help any team but if you're strong already, maybe it would be wise to get him off your team sooner rather than later as you won't need him anyway.

Usually you can find a 25HR-ish outfielder (sometimes 30s) in the waiver wire so don't make a quick decision unless you're really hurting in those categories

Depends on your roster and who might be available in a trade. If you cant get a solid power hitting outfielder with a good BA and can afford to keep him then when he comes back it is like making a great deal giving up nothing to get a dominant second half numbers producer. If someone bites and offers a talented outfielder that fills a need for you then it probably is a good idea to make the deal.

Dump him - he is dead weight. He is causing you to play fantasy with 1 less player than the rest of your league and you have a need. By the time he does play, you may be so far behind because you couldn't get help at another position that it won't really matter who he plays for.

As for a power OF - Chris Duncan is often over looked. He hit 22 HR's in 90 games playing part time last year. He could produce 40 this year as a starter - but only play him against RHP. Garrett Anderson is healthy again (finally) and will produce 20-25 HR's, .300 avg and close to 100 RBI.

Clemens is a great pitcher yet get help now. Clemens won't be back till the 2d a million/2 of the season once you will possibly be too far at the back of. in case you are able to arise with the money for to maintain him do, he nonetheless has great stuff.

It depends on who you are getting back. Avoid Chris Duncan - he had his Kevin Maas season last year. Cardinal fans love him, but he's never done anything in his minor league career that shows he has 30 home run potential. His minor league slugging percentage in 2587 AB's was .412 which is weak for a middle infielder.

Anyway, for Clemens, if you get someone that could hit 30 home runs, go for it, but don't give him away. He's a potentially dominant 2nd half performer.
