Use a tampons with plastic applicators! They are wayyy more comfortable when inserting. I recommend Tampax Pearl to anyone. I use them and they work great for running track and they don't leak. At least, when used properly.

If you are too tight just use a pad. It is pretty hard to believe that someone would have a hard time using a tampon but I guess that is why they have the pictured instruction manual that comes with the tampons in the little box. Like it says try standing up and pushing it in at an angle. And if you do get it in remember about TSS its very important and affects women who use tampons. Try the ones with out an applicator. When did you get your last period and why weren't you or haven't you been in school since sounds fishy to me.NOt a likely scenario oh and if you do get your period but cant get it in as you put it at school then it will be like the movie Carie and everyone will just throw tampons at you the late blooming 17 year old shouting "plug it up" then a teacher will rescue your from the taunting and teases and give you a pad that you will be able to use. That your Christin fundamentalist mother nutzo never explained the inner working of your female body to you or bought you sanitary napkins and now thinks you are the devil. Hope this helps! Bye.

Get the Playtex Gentle Glide. They are made differently than the cardboard ones and are much easier to insert. Or, if going to the store tonight is not an option, try putting some vaseline on the tip of the cardboard one. Practice makes perfect, angle is important here....read the insert that comes with the tampons. And hey, maybe ask Mom for advice????

Wear a pad for now. How old are you? If you have never had sex or had no penetration at all whatsoever then it is going to be a little uncomfortable to insert a tampon. Did you try to insert a tampon while you were not on your period? If you did (which you should NEVER do!) then the reason could be that there was not enough lubrication in your vagina. Try wearing plastic applicator tampons instead because they are much easier to insert because it should slide right in. Good luck!

I've heard tampons with a plastic applicator is easier, but i myself use the ones with the cardboard, and with them you've gotta take it slow.
Make sure you're lubricated down there, unfortunately it means you've gotta let a little blood come through, then slip a thin on in and wiggle it around, once the cardboard gets a little wet it should slip in smoothly, then just push the tampon in (and clean yourself up).
If you get it tomorrow at school, go to the bathroom during a spare or lunch period, that way you arne't rushed to try and get it in. Take your time, try sitting up slightly slouched and trying to put it in while you're there, making sure you've relaxed your muscles.
Good luck

Why do you HAVE to use a tampon? Why can't you use a pad? Also, if you were trying to use a tampon when you didn't have your period, that could be the reason you had difficulty getting it in. Try a slim fit tampon, while you're on your period.

If you are certain that your period is suppose to start tomorrow, wear a pad to be on the safe side. Also, the plastic applicators, such as Pearl, has been said to be the best kind for using, as it is easier to slide in, etc. Maybe you should try that kind.

get Tampax Pearl. slim fits.
in the box they give u directions.
you can read them
DONT BE NERVOUS.
that makes it all worse.
eather do it with one leg up on the toilet and tilt the tampon towards your back.
and maybe b4 u get ur period finger yourself. cause where you finger ur self if the same place the tampon would go.
hope this helped

You need to relax and not get all excited and nervous, and the right angle. Take your time and try standing up and squat just a little, just come down a couple of inches and insert it. Read the box.
Relax...Relax!! Or it will be harder to use as your muscles will tighten up and yea ouch, it's harder to insert.
