i think popular music is totally overrated. the best popular band would have to be fall out boy, but hey theyre not my fav. i like small labels like solid state and tooth and nail.

Yes, a lot of it can be, but some things i can't help but like, but others just disgust me. Overplaying is a really big problem, too. I would probably like more of the small label bands, too, but I live in a small town and it makes it hard for me to find these bands. So, I basically have to stick with popular music, but I find my ways. (MP3 player, Limewire on the computer) But I guess it's to your taste. Everyone's different and some like these bands only because everyone else does. But some of them are popular for a reason; they rock. ^_^

Depends on the artist or band.I dont think fall out boy is overated because they have been touring for a long time and their shows were selling out before people knew about them because of the radio and trl.Same with Gym Class Heroes.Theyre from Geneva Ny which is an hour away from where I live in Syracuse and ive seen them play local shows before they got their big break.A bands record label doesnt make me like them any more or less.

I think all the popular music on the radio is crap. I like tooth and nail and silid state myself.
