Yep, I got my purse stolen at the Greyhound bus station in Stockton, CA when I was 18. I had about $200 and all my id in it.

Yea a tool box but I recovered most of the tools. Was found in a High School students gym locker. Got the license plate off the getaway car. No arrest(s) were made.

Yes! An ex friend of mine borrowed money from me and promised to pay it back the following Friday. On that day, I went to the lavatory and left my purse behind. She helped herself by taking the amount she needed to pay me back (which was just about all I had). When lunch time came, she insisted on paying for my food - something she never did before. Obviously, she did not want me to notice that my money was gone. However, within a short time, I put the pieces together and kept my money on me from then on instead of in my purse. WHAT A THIEF!

Yes....movers broke into one of my boxes and took some personal checks. Then they cashed 4 checks @ $1000 each. I didn't find out about it until the end of the month.

The moving company paid us back and moved us for free. They also brought charges against the moving men.

Lesson.....move your personal things yourself.
