Yes you can, compose a message as usual, but in the "to" field, enter the phone number (including area code). Then type in "@teleflip.com". example (5551234567@teleflip.com) It will automatically re-route your e-mail to the correct phone e-mail address and it is free to use.

Yes. Different providers have special email addresses which send emails to phones. It's usually something like this

phonenumber@domain.com

You need to know what service the person has and then you can probably find the info on that company's web site.

you used to be able to with Cellnet, however why not just use the web? www.o2.co.uk or www.cbfsms.com .
