Well, you certainly don;t want to introduce any new fish to the tank at all until all signs of disease have been gone for at least a week.

The good news is you have identified the problems and are ready to treat them. Just as a review, you need to treat these problems in the main tank with all the fish you normally keep in the tank together. Raise the temperature to about 88 F and add salt. Put in 2 tablespoons of salt per 5 gallons. Add it slowly, over the course of a few hours. Remove the carbon from your filter if you have any and begin treating with Malachite green for the ick. This is the best active ingredient you can get for ick and it's available in lots of ick medications, just read the label for that ingredient. Treat for at least 1 week, 10 days is even better.

For the rot and columnaris treat with Furanace or if you can't get that treat with Maraycn and Maracyn 2. Treat for 2 weeks non stop. You will need to do water changes during the treatment, just remember to add the salt back for the water you took out.

You also might need to add a bubbler or air stone to the tank while you treat the fish. The high temperature makes them need more oxygen and make the water have less oxygen. The air stone will help that.

You should be able to save your fish if you just treat them in this manner. Once you are clear of all disease for a week, then you can consider adding new fish. Be sure to quarantine new fish in a separate tank to themselves for a week if possible, just in case they have a disease. If they do you can treat it in the small tank without having to treat all your fish and this will prevent diseases from getting in your tank so easily.

A 55 gallon with a filter that moves the water on the surface shouldn't need an air stone, it wouldn't hurt, but wouldn't help much either so it's just up to you.

You need to treat the whole tank as a living organism. The TANK has ich, and fungus. Go to your aquarist dealer for appropriate meds. All is not lost, but don't add any more fish until the tank is healthy again. There's no need for bubblers as long as you have some sort of decent filtration going on.

Did you do a water change? If so, and you treated them for both diseases then you might want to have the water checked. Is the tank new? If so its best to have a tank running for about 2 months before you add fish. You can go to Walmart and get some test strips to test the water. You might need some water conditioners. My tank does't need a bubbler but you need a filter that is big enough for your tank. also if you do have a filter take the carbon packs out cause it takes the meds out of the water before they can work.
