you can't do that.. if it's a new system then you need to do a fresh install.
download a new copy and then do a fresh install on the new computer.
if your old AVG is a paid version i don't think you could use that on your new computer without getting a new license for it.

Don't load AVG, get at least Avast if you're not going to pay for an anti-virus program. Avast at least catches more viruses(91-92%) then avg(90%), but all paid antivirus versions catch 99%.

Put the AVG Anti Virus CD into the CD-drive and install the software, that's it. If you don't have a CD, than download:
www.free.grisoft.com
there is a A VG Free Edition
but please use only one anti virus programm on your PC, because if there are more, they will disturbe and nothing is working.

Hi Sondra, You cant transfer any installed software from 1 PC to another. As said above you must download it again and install on your new PC.
