I suggest telling an adult quicky. You are only 13 years old yourself, you cannot handle these problems alone. Please tell an adult, guardian, especially a parent. Your friend may be on risk

I was a child youth worker for 3 years. I suggest that you tell someone ASAP ie her parents, a teacher, a school counselor, tell anyone that can help basically. This is a serious issue that needs the attention of an authority figure. Get people around her involved

Hope this helps.

NO matter what you think you need to approach her parents. Your friends need professional help and support from her family and yourself.

She feels like no body cares, that nobody loves her and that if she died nobody will notice. Shes asking for attention, and im concerned there may be more to it then just the attention maybe another problem you cant see.

Tell her parents, its the best you can do. And suggest a therapist to them immediately

this is too big for you. consider that you are not betraying your friend if you get help, but you are betraying her if you know she's got these problems and you don't get her help. Tell your parent right away and see what they say about telling your friend's parents or going through the school if your friend's parents are more likely the reason for the problem.

(kids used to only cut themselves if they were sexual abuse victims. now, lots of kids who grew up in day care cut themselves because of the intense feelings of emptiness this caused inside them.)

People who cut themselves have SERIOUS mental health issues, but they tend to be manipulative and so threaten to hurt themselves but don't. However, they can still end up dead - Sylvia Plath was one of those manipulative self-hurters and she often pretended she would kill herself with gas. Funny thing, one day, her maid, who usually rescued her as the gas suicides were timed to coincide with the maid's arrival, forgot her key. Plath died.

My point is not to ignore it, but to relax a bit as you seek hlep.

YOur friend is not completely normal. Your friend has very serious problems. Having two boyfriends already at 13 shows she's pretty much focused on the wrong things in life. But the cutting tells us she needs serious psychological intervention. Be her friend and see that she gets it.

sorry to say this but, she probly doesnt wanna be your friend anymore. she is making a bad choice and probly wont do the right thing. most people dont. find another person to hang out with. im going through the same problem.... im so sorry. my friends have been w/ me 4 a long time 2 but i have to move on, i tried talking to them but its no use. try joining a team and socializing with people who like doing the same thing and you can make a great friend. it is very very hard to break up with a close friend and i dont know how to say it either to my friends so, maybe talk to her nicely and tell her why it is wrong but if she doesnt care, its time to move on. i hope you change her or make a great new friend!

You need to tell your mother so she can talk to your friend's mother.

Your friend's mother absolutely has to know about this - she deserves a chance to help her daughter.

Do the right thing - it might be hard to do - but tell your mother ASAP that your friend is cutting herself and says she wants to kill herself.

Even if you think your friend will be mad at you, believe me - you will feel even worse if she actually does hurt herself.

Right now - all that's important is that your friend gets the help she needs - it's not important whether she will be mad at you.

Hurry and go tell your mother!
Good luck!

This is a phase. I have my scars when I was doing that to myself, but I was much older though, I was 17. @ 13 this is not normal! RElate to her that these scars will remain with her the rest of her life. When she's 23 years old, she's going to look at her arm and say, "why the hell did I do that to myself?"

You have to tell your parents or her parents. She'll probably be mad at you, but you should always take a threat of suicide seriously. Talk to an adult soon, you might be breaking her trust, but you also might be saving her life. It sounds like she's crying out for help, even if she doesn't realize it. It's probably best if you start out by talking to your Mom or Dad, then they can go with you to talk to her parents or talk to them for you. Good Luck, you sound like a good friend.

Tell someone. Tell your parents! try to talk to her and show her the bonus' of life. Maybe you and her could see a therapist together. If you stick together I think you will figure out what the problem in her life is. I hope everything works out for the best!

You need to tell your parent's, let them talk to her parent's. This could save her life. By doing this, you would be her best friend. You handle it like this, and I would want you for my best friend. Best friends always do what ever necessary to take care of their best friend. Your friend needs so help, let the parent's handle it.
