One year, for Mother's Day, a good friend of the family took my family out to celebrate the special day at the most fanciest and expensive restaurant in the city. He, the family friend, had reservations for us he placed ahead of time. Although, when we got there in the early afternoon, we had to wait there for literally many many hours, until it was close to being the late evening. They apologized for the very long delay because they claim to be so very busy and finally sat us when most of the restaurant was empty. It must have been about a little more than an hour before the restaurant closed and we had though several times of just getting up and walking up, but it was a special day for my mother. All other places would have been full and we did not expect to wait so very and ridiculously long at this restaurant. Anyways, when one person of our (small) group ordered a steak, they had said they ran out of it about an hour ago. So, he had to order something else.

Obviously, we were all upset and frustrated, and we did complain to management, of this fancy rich restaurant. All the manager could do, as he claimed, was to offer us either a free dessert or free coffee. Now we were up to that point of that we couldn't handle any much of this outrageous mistreatment and then left. What do you think about this?

If your friend had made reservation for you, they should of up held it. I would of waited an hour and if they didn't seat you I would of walked out. and gone to a cheaper restaurant, and you probably would of waited but not that long. sorry that your mom had to go through all that on mothers day. next year just don't back to that restaurant.

I would call the corporation and complain. I was at a restaurant in Houston, and the waiter spilled beer all over me, forgot our order, the food was cold....on and on. The company sent me a gift card for $50, I moved since then and I still have the card. But if I were you, complain to them, they 'need' to hear this. Good luck.

I agree with you. Even though they were busy, you still had reservations. I would have left after the first hour of waiting. Next year.....plan a barbque....it's cheaper....and at least everyone will have what they want to eat, when they want to eat it. Best of luck to you.

Very bad business. He should have at least comped the meal. They say when you have a good experience you tell 2 friends but when you have a bad experience you tell 10.
