I recently got a custom made corset (I am 13, 5'2"), I have a flat chest *sobs*, and it is chafing my chest. Also, I can't breathe easily when wearing it. I don't want to get rid of it though because it feels really good, just not that good.

Interesting....why are you wearing a corset?
Are you trying to create a smaller waist?
Darlin' corsets ARE uncomfortable, they just are!
They're supposed to be worn tight, the purpose is to give you an extreme waist, and accentuate the look of your hips. I tried one on once and had to take it off...I could'nt stand the feeling.

A corset was never designed to be comfortable, that is one of it's basic problems. In olden days women wore them because they had no choice, the bra was not invented until the 1950's. I don't think if you were to go back in time you would find any women who were happy wearing a corset, that's why when material with stretch finally was invented the bra was invented.
The initial idea of a corset was to hold in everything and in this way it was always hard for women to breathe, there is nothing you can do to change the inital facts of a corset, it isn't going to be comfortable. As far as the chafing, wear a tee shirt under it, that's about the only thing you can do to stop the chafing. You spent the money, you are young, you are growing, there is nothing to say that you will be flat chested forever, and believe me, it is better to be flat then overly endowed. Go back to a bra or a tee shirt and let the corset go. They are fun for playing dress up, but that's as far as it goes.

corsets were never meant to be comfortable, they were only meant to make you look good, hence, no pain no gain! like you said if feels really good....cause it makes you look good right? just not that good....cause its uncomfortable....anyway, if it helps, try wearing something else underneath it like a tight fitting singlet or tube or something. but really, realistically, there's no such thing as comfortable in a corset.

That's a very funny oxymoron there.

Maybe some baby powder will help the chafing....

try "stuffing" it...with cotton or something or tape some gauze into it...it might stop the chafing...also where a little at a time and tighten it more every time you wear it so you get used to it easier.

it's probably where it's new. Just break it in by wearing it for 20 mins a day.
