policy making...I'd rather do some good with my degree rather than work on a campaign trying to make some guy look like a saint

I do have a degree in political science but am not working in the field since the pay is usually not that great in the area of political campaigns, but having volunteered for numerous campaigns has been really enjoyable and very rewarding. Having a fairly well-paying job and volunteering has worked out pretty well for me.

I work for The University of Texas at Austin in a department which researches and gauges how well school districts around the U.S. are complying with the infamous No Child Left Behind.

I'm currently working towards a dual Major in Political Science and International Law.

The number of professions which cater to those with PS degrees are both numerous and distinguished. . .But personally, I wish to teach, perhaps at a University level, but probably High School since I will have a greater effect on the more impressionable age groups found there.

Our nation has, in my opinion, been slowing losing its national pride and Constitutional awareness, I would like to do my part to forestall completely losing either.

Being a Professor allows you the ability to make gov't scandals and corruption brought to light to our next generation. It seems to me like a good majority of people have lost faith in our system, and are probably less likely to vote the next election. At least this way, you're not selling your soul by getting into Washington, but instead you are sharing your passion and your ideas by your teachings, and you're not being persuaded to provide special services to special interest groups. You'll actually be able to look in the mirror without any shame when you come home at night.
