To the victors goes the history books. Because the west has had such a broad and far reaching influence they determine the history books. Other cultures play very little into the modern world because many of thier greatest ideas and literature have probably been lost. Such is the way of life

I agree, mainly because I have 3 history books about the same battle in WWII, but written by authors from 3 different countries, Canada, America and England. They are very different in their opinions and what they say really happened at Vimy Ridge. The "history" recorded in each is highly colored by the opinions and cultures of the writers.
I'm sure if I took similar books on science, medicine, art or anything for that matter that were written by authors from 3 different nations, the result would be the same.

Like all human sciences, history is a result of a certain set of dimensions of thought, morality, & aspirations possessed by its owner. When u read the history of a certain science u ought to check who wrote it & the background which he/she lived in. When one writes history he/she takes a certain event's stand n justifies its route of occurance or pattern. Hence if u are reading a world history book in d USA u'll find it full of details which arent found in those in the Middle East. Yet if u read the same subject in a book printed in the Middle EAst or esp. for the Middle East U'll note the differences of the justification for the positions taken nt in the major course of action. After all every science including the histology of a domain has a message to be conveyed to its readers whether about co-existance, justification, or maybe expression of limelight warmth. Hence the writer is objective in his view.

it truly is a non secular "beginning," meaning growing to be a clean man or woman. it truly is our cultural language activity for signifying that this man or woman has replaced, and the ritual that is going with it (water baptism) symbolizes a 2d beginning. it truly is a public confirmation that this man or woman has been made clean. And snice we proceed to be sinners even after this takes position, we are being born again each and each of the time, as we admit our mistakes and attempt to correctly desirable them and do more suitable positive. we are continually growing to be new. the large issue about this metaphor is that no count number number how some distance you've lengthy gone down the different route, no count number number how evil you've been, there is continuously wish in being made new.

It may surprise you but the development of all the subjects you listed are very similar in both Eastern and Western civilizations. The one area that is decidely different is in the arena of religion. If you had to classify Islam (and it is relatively new---Mohammed started in about A.D. 600. and it could be said that it is only a break-away from Judo-Christian religion

I do believe history gets colored by the writer at times and I do agree with your statement.
