I would give it to her, but look at why it constipates her.

Make sure she drinks enough water throughout the day--water is a great way to get those bowels a'working!

I'm having the same problem with my son.

I'm going to only give him the oatmeal maybe every other day and alternate with pears...And even on cereal days I may lace it with pears...cause the oatmeal is basically acting like quickcrete...poor little guy!

I'm not going to stop jsut yet cause I think he needs the substance that the cereal gives him...it's just heavier to fill his tummy...but I'm definately working the pears in there somehow ...cause that cereal just stops him right up (oat or rice it doesn't matter)

Pear and apple juice. I've been told by my pediatrician to give my baby 1 ounce of apple juice for every month old she is daily if I want to. Apple juice works great and you don't need to water it down if it's 100% juice with no added sugar.

apple and pear are ok, but they are high in sugar which can dehydrate a child. Prune juice is good for them as well. (that can clean anyone out :-&) Your best bet is asking your pediatrician just incase your child is allergic to something, but pedialyte is really good for them. Lots of water too. good luck!

Using juices are fine but if you want a sure fix....I found that about a tablespoon of karo syrup works wonders. This actually was suggested by my daughters GI specialist so it is safe. I would put it in her formula. The GI doctor recommended the light syrup but if it does not work he said to try the dark....but the light did the trick for my daughter. Good Luck!!!

Give her barley cereal instead and give her at least 6 oz of water a day and try apple juice. My pediatrician always recommends apple juice and water.
