The collapse of the Roman Empire, was in truth, its superiority. THe saying all roads lead to Rome may have been true then, however what was its strength was also its weakness. The Roman Empire had an inability to support itself with the change in Religion, the size of its Empire, and the fact that it was in constant war. The Emperors who lead it were corrupt and narcissistic, unfit for the true leadership and welfare of the Empire. The Roman empire fell because it wasn't of sufficient behavioral adaption, it was to power-hungry.

The Roman Empire's defeat by Odoacer in 476 was due to its decay which began after the Pax Romana.Corruption, inefficiency and the succession of weak emperors were among the persistent problems of the empire. The split of the empire into east and west in 395 further fragmented it.It was only the constant advance of the Germanic tribes on its borders that rendered the empire its fall.

The Roman empire was split between two brothers and they were fighting with eachother for land. So they were very weak. Other people and countries knew this and so some people decided to attack and they did. Which weakened rome very much so much it fell. Which led into the middle Ages.
