Who were bigger losers?

The Oakland A's from 1988-92 or the Atlanta Braves from 1991-2003. Both semi dynastys both in extremely crappy baseball towns, both with massive amounts of talent that was squandered.

I'd say the A's because those teams were juggernauts. In the Braves dyasty, they never really scared you on paper but you knew they were a playoff team.

The A's were a beast though with Caseco, McGwire, Henderson, Eckersley, Stewart etc. They could have won 3 championships.

Of the two you've mentioned I'd say the Braves. It's true, Atlanta is not a very passionate town when it comes to baseball. To think of all those division titles and only winning one world series is kind of amazing. And yes, the talent that has gone through that franchise is unbelievable. Bobby Cox may be a bit overrates as a manager. Clearly going into the 1993 NLCS against the Phillies, his Braves team was so much better in talent yet the Phillies swarmed all over them.

Going into the 1996 World Series the defending world champion Braves were again, clearly the favorites over a very young and inexperienced Yankees ball club and got their butts kicked.

I would put my vote in for the Braves just for the fact at how long they reigned supremed.....during the regular season. 13 years is a long time to have that kind of talent and not produce.
